He'll indoctrinate them the right way...
Roy Moore is expected to announce his bid for governor on June 1, and his supporters are letting us all know what the stakes are as he plans to scream “Jesus!” in a loud voice across the land — sometimes in tongues, sometimes perhaps not.
Earlier this week, Doc’s Political Parlor — or, as The Birmingham News calls it, “blogs on the Internet,” which are different, you know, from Blount County Weblogs that are usually printed on the backsides of dead livestock — posted an e-mail shot out by a Moore supporter promising he will announce a bid for governor on June 1.
As he announces his candidacy, I urge all of you to support him with all of your resources. As you know, our country is being torn apart from with in [sic] and we must take a stand for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
Well yeah, I know that. I hear that from Uncle Carter and Uncle Eagle all the time — though Carter’s the only one to really put a face on the issue.
But don’t worry, so does this Moore supporter:
We must clean up our education system which is indoctrinating our children through a multicultural mix of Communism, Islam, New Age and anything that goes, except Christianity, which is now being portrayed as the enemy. Our forefathers founded America on God and His Word. The enemy is now taking it away, but he can do it only, if we remain apathetic and refuse to listen and act on the TRUTH. I am asking you to take a stand for what is right before it is too late to turn this nation around for the good in which it was intended.
That intended good? STANDING UP FOR GOOD MORAL CHRISTIANS UNLIKE ALL THE OTHER GOOD MORAL CHRISTIANS IN THE RACE PLAN TO DO.
Fraudulent Socialist Islamic President NObama!
…
Anyway, a Moore spokesman tells The News that the supporter, Julie Sanders, does not speak for Moore because she didn’t use the proper code language in attacking the Muslim New Age Gay Anti-Christ(s) and is a “nice person but excited.”
Well, I can see the excitement part:
On June 1st, at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery will be a day to remember in Alabama history, Judge Moore will announce at 12 noon his candidacy for Governor of Alabama for 2010.
Because nothing says “history” like announcing your gubernatorial campaign at what I would imagine is probably at best Montgomery’s second-best hotel.
Let’s hope the Lord does not call Brother Roy before he has time stop by the breakfast bar!
The waffles are magical, I hear.
