It’s hard to tell sometimes if Alabama’s politicians are really that stupid — well… okay, they are.
But you know who’s usually stupider? The people who make the candidates’ election year ads.

So, Roy Moore hasn’t been running what most folks would call an active campaign.
Not really shown up to events to debate other Republican candidates. Not really campaigned anywhere worth spitting about for the State’s media.
So, basically Moore has given up on this campaign, and it’s at-best an empty exercise to steal religious right votes from other candidates in the Republican primary looking to land in what is likely to be a runoff.
Right?
However.
While campaigning at a rodeo in Opp — yes, a motherfucking rodeo in Opp – Moore said:
‘We found out that ALFA did a poll where I am leading 42 percent,’ Moore said. “Byrne got 17 percent and James got 15 percent.’
Moore said those results weren’t released publicly, ‘but no one wants to acknowledge that I’m leading.’
BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT REALLY CAMPAIGNING!

Only ye who is unafraid can be beaten 2-to-1 by a half-asleep Jim Folsom in November...
According to The AP, he has some new GOP competition:
Dean Young of Orange Beach announced his candidacy [for lieutenant governor] Tuesday.
Young served as a fundraiser and spokesman when [batshit crazy "THINGS AIN'T JESUS LIKE THEY USED BE!" former "Judge" Roy] Moore was campaigning for chief justice and during Moore’s legal battle to display the Ten Commandments in his courtroom. Young also helped Moore launch his current race for governor.
With this guy and Hank in the race, we could very well have snake-handling as a key part of a primary debate.
